The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) is looking for eligible candidates for engagement in multiple posts including Assistant Professor, Research Associate and Librarian on Direct Recruitment basis. NIDM has entered into a tie up with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) for conducting the recruitment process for filling up the vacancies. The recruitment will be done in the vacant posts of Assistant Professor, Research Associate and Librarian. NIDM is accepting online applications in this respect from the candidates through GGSIPU University portal.

1. Vacancies

NIDM has two campuses- one at Delhi (Delhi Campus) and other at Andhra Pradesh (Southern Campus). In both the campuses of NIDM there are vacancies for the posts (mentioned above). In Delhi Campus there are 4 vacancies for Assistant Professor post and 4 vacancies for Research Associate post. In Southern Campus there are 3 vacancies for Associate Professor post and 1 vacancy for Librarian post. The distribution of these vacancies (12 in total) between different categories are as below-

The vacancy for ST category is full now. Therefore, there is no any vacancy left for ST category in any of the mentioned post now.

The Delhi Campus of NIDM is located at Plot No. 15, Pocket- 13, Block- B, Sector- 29, Rohini, Delhi- 110042.

The Southern Campus of NIDM is located at Kondapavuluru village, Gannavaram mandal, Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Assistant Professor	Master Degree with 55% marks in Social Sciences/ Environment Sciences/ Earth Science/ Engineering/ Disaster Management or allied subjects.	M. Phil or Ph.D. in the concerned or allied disciplines. Contribution to innovation, educational, design of new curricula and courses, developing training modules, and technology-mediated teaching learning process.	35 years as on 1st July, 2023. Relaxation up to 5 years for Govt. Employees according to the orders issued by Central Govt.
Research Associate	(i) Master Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grading in Economics/ Physiology/ Psychology/ Sociology/ Mathematics/ Political Science/ Public Administration/ Law/ Bio Informatics/ IT/ Earth Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Urban Planning and Land Use. (ii) Two years research experience in the relevant field.	Ph.D./ M. Phil in the relevant discipline.	30 years as on 1st July, 2023. Relaxation in Upper age limit: Up to 5 years for SC/ST, up to 3 years for OBC, up to 5 years for Govt. Employees.
Librarian	(i) Bachelors Degree in Library Science from a recognized University or Institute. (ii) Proficiency in Computer application in library functioning. (iii) Minimum two years of experience in library operation.	---	30 years as on 1st July, 2023. Relaxation in Upper age limit: Up to 5 years for SC/ST, up to 3 years for OBC, up to 5 years for Govt. Employees.

3. Last Date for Online Application: Online Application Form can be submitted within thirty days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News (of 16-22 December 2023).

5. Application Process:

(i) Candidates have to do Registration at first in online portal (Online links are given above in “Apply Links” section). For registration candidates have to enter their valid E-mail Address, valid Mobile number and a strong Password (as the candidate wish to set), and Verification/Captcha code (shown at portal).

(ii) After registration, they have to Login with the Registered E-mail Id and Password and entering Verification Code (shown at portal).

(iii) After Login candidates have to enter required details (* marked sections are mandatory to be filled) and Upload required documents (Scanned copies of all Educational Qualifications, Caste Certificate (for Reserved Category Candidates), etc.) in proper format and size, and then submit.

(iv) Pay application fee in Online mode. (Separate application along with separate fee should be filled/ paid in online mode for applying more than one post).

7. Selection Process: From the candidates, who will submit online application form successfully, shortlisting will be done. Then shortlisted applicants will be called for Written Test/ Personal Interaction. In case of small number of applicants, written test will be conducted at various centres in Delhi only. But in case of large number of applicants, written test will be held at various centres in India.

8. Salary/ Pay Band:

Librarian	Pay Band- 2 Rs. 9300- 34800 + Rs. 4600 (Grade Pay) [Pay Level- 7 in 7th CPC]

9. Additional Important Instructions:

  (i) No document will be accepted/ considered by the Institute after submission of online application by the candidates and no subsequent request for its change will be granted.

   (ii) Any dispute with regard to recruitment will be subject to the Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Delhi.
